About The Position

Vishay Thin Film is seeking a Tape & Reel Operator for its Niagara Falls, New York site. The operator sets up and runs multiple automatic and manual tape-and-reel machines, monitors and adjusts equipment, prepares paperwork and labels, organizes production by due date, and monitors output and part quality. The role also involves qualifying to perform multiple jobs and training other employees. This is a third-shift position paying $17–$19 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write to interpret production documents and accurately record required information.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using a learned method or calculator.
• Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to accurately process small parts.
• Organizational skills to maintain a clean workstation.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and follow work direction accurately.
• Must qualify to perform multiple jobs and have responsibility for training other employees.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under 22 C.F.R. §120.15 because the position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run multiple automatic and manual tape-and-reel machines according to traveler instructions.
• Monitor and adjust automatic and manual tape-and-reel machines and peripheral equipment as necessary.
• Report equipment downtime to a supervisor or technician.
• Prepare the appropriate paperwork and labels for reels.
• Organize work by due dates and ensure it progresses on schedule.
• Monitor the output and quality of assigned parts.
• Perform multiple qualified jobs and train other employees.
