About The Position

The Operator, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing supports pharmaceutical production by inspecting products and monitoring equipment and processes for proper operation. The role assists with production equipment setup and operation, prepares and cleans manufacturing rooms and equipment, maintains orderly work areas, and ensures products are labeled and stored correctly. The Operator documents production activity and may assist with training, calibration, and coordination of other Operators as directed.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least two years of experience; a combination of experience and/or education may be considered.
Good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, writing, and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stoop, climb ladders or stairs, and stand or sit for extended periods.
Ability to wear a respirator.
Ability to hear an alarm, identify small defects, and distinguish between colors.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect product during operation and observe equipment and processes for proper operation.
Seek maintenance assistance for problems and recommend improvements.
Assist with setting up and running production equipment.
Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection as required, and keep the work area clean and orderly.
Ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
Document material runs using Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
Assist in training new personnel in manufacturing operations as directed by a supervisor or manager.
Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, and other equipment as instructed.
Coordinate the work of other Operators and act as a backup to the Senior Operator as directed by a supervisor or manager.
