Manufacturing Operator - 1st shift-Chardon, OH (Hiring Bonus)
About The Position
Pentair is hiring a Manufacturing Operator at its Chardon, Ohio facility, which manufactures poly glass pressure vessels, hydropneumatic pressure tanks, and brine and water storage tanks commonly used in residential water purification systems. The operator sets up and operates facility equipment, including blow mold presses, and performs assembly, testing, and other production duties. The role involves reading and understanding standard work instructions, following safety standards and procedures, and helping maintain a clean and safe working environment. The schedule is first shift, 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime available. Hourly pay is $17.50 to $21, depending on experience, with an opportunity for a rate increase after proficiency in certain skills and completion of training. A $1,000 hiring bonus is paid as $500 after 90 days and $500 after six months of employment; the full amount must be repaid if employment ends within one year of the hire date. The role requires standing, walking, twisting at the waist, and lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel-toed shoes are required.

Responsibilities
- Wind tank liners with fiberglass strands coated with a mixture of resin and hardener.
- Produce liners and/or air cells using blow mold presses.
- Remove excess flashing from parts as they come off the press and inspect parts for quality.
- Offload, assemble, fill, test, and package tanks.
- Follow 5S practices and support lean activities.
- Follow safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Read and understand standard work instructions.
- Help maintain a clean and safe working environment.
