About The Position

Sheridan Liberty is hiring a full-time Manufacturing Operator - Bindery for its first shift. The position offers training for candidates who have not worked in bindery and involves operating and setting up high-speed bindery equipment to produce books, catalogs, and other printed materials. The role is based on a fast-paced, team-oriented production floor and supports daily production goals while maintaining product quality, safety, and an organized workspace.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Sheridan describes the role as an opportunity to learn skilled equipment and develop a long-term career in print manufacturing. The company is part of the Sheridan Group and CJK Group.

Requirements

• Experience operating machinery in any industry, such as manufacturing, warehousing, or trades.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic tools.
• Ability to read basic job instructions and measurements, including decimals and sizes.
• Take pride in producing quality work.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work well with a team.

Nice To Haves

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience.
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and set up bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, stitchers, and perfect binders.
• Make machine adjustments and monitor quality to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Work with the team to achieve daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and help keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.
