About The Position

Sheridan is hiring a full-time Manufacturing Associate for its bindery operation. The role involves hands-on work feeding books and signatures into high-speed bindery equipment, packing books, handling materials, performing manual operations, and inspecting finished products. Bindery experience is not required; training is provided. The position works on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime opportunities. It is based on a fast-paced, team-oriented production floor, where employees work to meet daily production goals and follow safety procedures while maintaining an orderly workspace.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, workplace and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction, and ability to use a measuring device.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic tools.
• Ability to read basic job instructions and measurements.
• Take pride in producing quality work.
• Reliability and ability to work well with a team.

Nice To Haves

• One year of previous manufacturing or related experience.
• Print, bindery, or finishing experience.
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Feed books and signatures into machines.
• Pack books into cartons.
• Safely move materials and books to and from the workstation.
• Perform hand operations as required.
• Work with the team to meet daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.
