About The Position

Pentair is seeking a Material Handler 1st to support material flow across its Chardon, Ohio campus. The role delivers and receives raw materials, replenishes kits, transports finished goods, maintains Kanban inventory, and operates material-handling equipment while upholding 5S and Pentair “Win Right” standards. The position is on 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, from 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. The hourly pay is $18.50, with an opportunity for a rate increase after proficiency in certain skills and completion of training. A $1,000 hiring bonus is paid in two installments: $500 after 90 days and $500 after six months, subject to repayment if employment ends within one year of the hire date.

Requirements

• Self-starter who can work with little supervision.
• Obtain and maintain a lift truck license; the posting lists this as required in the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver raw materials to production cells as required.
• Obtain and maintain a lift truck license, which is required.
• Pick up finished goods from the appropriate area as required.
• Receive raw materials as required.
• Support material flow through the Chardon campus as needed.
• Reorder raw materials through the Kanban process as required.
• Implement and sustain adherence to market 5S standards according to the market 5S checklist.
• Demonstrate Pentair’s “Win Right” culture when interacting with customers, coworkers, and suppliers.
• Replenish kits in the market as required.
• Operate a tugger to facilitate timely delivery of materials to the production area.
