About The Position
SPIROL is seeking a Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 semester, from May through August 2027. This is a 100% on-site role in Stow, Ohio. The intern will gain hands-on experience working with engineering and manufacturing professionals at a global manufacturer, contributing to projects that support daily operations and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Engineering or Technical program at an accredited college or university.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D CAD modeling.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing procedures and production methods to identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
- Conduct time studies to support production and item creation standards.
- Support projects to implement new or upgraded processes and equipment.
- Assist with process development, improvement, and documentation.
- Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support manufacturing activities.
- Research technologies, equipment, and supplies that could improve operations.
- Collaborate with plant personnel, office staff, suppliers, and contractors as needed.
