About The Position
SPIROL is seeking a Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering Intern for the May–August 2027 summer semester. This fully onsite internship is based in Stow, Ohio, and offers hands-on experience with a global manufacturer serving the aerospace, automotive, industrial, and capital equipment industries. The intern will work alongside engineering and manufacturing professionals and contribute to operational projects and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering or technical program at an accredited college or university.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D CAD modeling.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing procedures and production methods to identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
- Perform time studies to support production and item creation standards.
- Assist with projects to implement new or upgraded processes and equipment.
- Support process development, improvement, and documentation.
- Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support manufacturing activities.
- Research technologies, equipment, and supplies that could improve operations.
- Collaborate with plant personnel, office staff, suppliers, and contractors as needed.
