About The Position

SPIROL is seeking a Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Fall 2027 semester, from August through December 2027. This is a 100% on-site internship in Stow, Ohio. The intern will gain hands-on experience working alongside engineering and manufacturing professionals at a global manufacturer with more than 75 years of manufacturing experience serving the aerospace, automotive, industrial, and capital equipment industries. The role contributes to engineering projects and daily operational improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering or technical program at an accredited college or university.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D CAD modeling.
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Strong work ethic, initiative, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Evaluate existing procedures and production methods to identify improvement opportunities.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
Perform time studies to support production and item creation standards.
Assist with projects to implement new or upgraded processes and equipment.
Support process development, improvement, and documentation.
Develop procedures, forms, checklists, and schedules to support manufacturing activities.
Research technologies, equipment, and supplies that may improve operations.
Collaborate with plant personnel, office staff, suppliers, and contractors as needed.
