About The Position

Leidos Defense is hiring a Manufacturing Material Requisitioner responsible for planning, quoting, and requisitioning all material components for manufacturing. The role works closely with vendors and purchasing to ensure material purchases meet deadlines and requires working knowledge of bills of material for electronic and mechanical components, along with strong written and verbal communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or associate degree with at least 2 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
• Demonstrated knowledge of production planning and quality control principles, including AS9100.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville–North Alabama area.
• U.S. citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Costpoint experience.
• Active security clearance.
• Material procurement experience in a manufacturing environment; Department of Defense experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with vendors to obtain quotes, purchase order status, and delivery schedules.
• Evaluate material demand using Costpoint.
• Communicate material status to the PC Planning Team.
• Communicate material status and issues to Program Managers.
• Ensure quality notes are included for purchasing on all material requisitions.
• Report material status and cost data at program meetings.
