About The Position

The Greige Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the Preparation and Weaving manufacturing areas, with a strong focus on safety, quality, cost control, and production efficiency. This role ensures operational excellence, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and develops team members for future growth.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years' experience in Manufacturing Leadership in a similar environment
  • Bachelor's degree or extensive manufacturing experience
  • Must possess strong coaching skills and be willing to learn and grow in their role
  • Possess computer skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to Manage in an ISO/AS9100 environment
  • Travel as needed based on business needs.
  • Abide by the JPS Mission, Mission, Purpose and Identity standards and conduct themselves with the highest level of candor and continuous improvement, to best represent the organization

Responsibilities

  • Lead all manufacturing initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and production.
  • Oversee daily operations within the Greige (Preparation/Weaving) areas and support associates as needed.
  • Assist with production planning, scheduling, and optimizing process flow.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless operational continuity.
  • Support and participate in capital projects as required.
  • Provide weekly performance and operational reports.
  • Control and monitor all cost factors including labor, supplies, repairs, waste, and overtime.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or quality.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the facility safety plan and enforce all policies and procedures.
  • Develop and sustain an effective departmental safety program.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings with Shift Supports regarding safety and loss prevention.
  • Monitor and ensure supervisory staff are fulfilling safety responsibilities.
  • Review accident investigations to ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are properly executed.
  • Ensure safety inspections, unsafe act observations, and corrective actions are completed effectively.
  • Track and evaluate safety performance metrics and take corrective action as needed.
  • Conduct annual safety performance reviews for Shift Supports and report results to management.
  • Investigate all workplace incidents and ensure timely resolution.
  • Verify completion of ergonomic analyses, safety audits, and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) requirements.
  • Ensure all equipment safety checks, including E-Stops, are completed on schedule.
  • Utilize statistical analysis tools to review operational data and drive improvements.
  • Ensure all audit findings are addressed and resolved within required timelines.
  • Approve corrective action requests prior to implementation.
  • Oversee training and development of associates to prepare them for future advancement.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to Shift Supports and team members.
  • Visit customers as needed to address concerns and maintain strong relationships.
  • Work closely with corporate functions to achieve plant-wide goals.
  • Assist the Plant Manager as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
