About The Position
Chromalloy New York is seeking a self-disciplined, problem-solving individual with a take-charge attitude, who is team-oriented and willing to learn, to join our Facilities and Maintenance team. This is a 3rd shift position, Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Trainees must be able to train on 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. This is an hourly position with Local 475, paying $29.70/hr with a 15% premium for 3rd shift hours.
Requirements
- Must be able to use various measuring, plumbing, and electrical tools (e.g., power tools, dial calipers, micrometer, voltmeter) and understand hand tools
- Must have an understanding of pumps and motors
- Must be familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Must be computer proficient
- Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot/problem solve
- Assemble and disassemble machinery
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment without supervision
- Perform daily checks including filter changes and gauge readings
- Drum swaps using a fork truck and/or man lift
- Fabricate simple metal forms by use of gas and/or electrical welding
- Perform painting, sheet rock repair, and other minor construction tasks
