Chromalloy New York is looking for a self-disciplined, problem solver, with a take charge attitude, who can troubleshoot/ problem solve, is team oriented, and has a willingness to learn, to join our Facilities and Maintenance team.

Requirements

Must be able to use various measuring, plumbing, and electrical tools. Example: power tools, dial calipers, micrometer, voltmeter and understand hand tools
Must have a understanding of pumps and motors
Must be familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Must be computer proficient
Must be fluent in English, (speaking, reading, writing)
Minimum lift floor to waist – 30 pounds
Minimum lift waist to shoulder level – 30 pounds
Minimum pull – 40 pounds
Frequently: Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.
Comfortable at being in a manlift 30+ feet in the air and working on roof of plant

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

Assemble and disassemble machinery and perform routine maintenance on equipment without supervision
Perform daily checks which includes filter changes, gauge readings, drum swaps using fork truck and/or man lift
Fabricate simple metal forms by use of gas and/or electrical welding
Perform painting, sheet rock repair and other minor construction tasks
