About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician plays a hands-on role in supporting and improving automated manufacturing processes, equipment, and robotics. This position is ideal for a skilled problem-solver who enjoys troubleshooting challenges and driving improvements in quality, productivity, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in an Engineering related field or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years’ experience in related field
  • Must be able to understand and troubleshoot through use of PLC programs.
  • Must have robotic programming experience. FANUC a plus
  • Basic understanding and exposure to 3D modeling and drawing using CAD software
  • Welding or Machining knowledge is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and project organization abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Exhibit strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Exhibit strong troubleshooting skills

Nice To Haves

  • FANUC a plus
  • Welding or Machining knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage Automation equipment in designated process areas.
  • Assist in new equipment installations.
  • Operate, maintain, and teach FANUC material handling, welding robots or related equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Controls Engineer to use PLC and HMI programs to troubleshoot and improve the processes.
  • Lead engineering projects that support continuous improvements, increase throughput, or improve product quality of our processes.
  • Work with outside vendors to solve problems, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions.
  • Use Creo and AutoCAD modeling systems to design basic machine and layout improvements.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot equipment mechanically and electrically.
  • Support procedure and documentation creation/updates (WI, TPMs, PMs, 5S, …).
