About The Position

The Engineering Technician provides technical and administrative support to the Manufacturing Engineering team. This position assists with engineering change management, product introductions, ERP system maintenance, manufacturing documentation, and MRB activities. The Engineering Technician works closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Business Development to ensure product documentation, Bills of Material, manufacturing methods, and engineering records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company and customer requirements. All work is performed under the guidance and approval of the Engineering team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent directly transferrable work experience (Manufacturing or Engineering discipline preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a regulated industry (preferably in a Medical Device or Aerospace Manufacturer).
  • Must possess a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications containing GD&T.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, and Adobe products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Medical Device Manufacturing environment with high output efficiency and impeccable quality standards.
  • Exhibit good time management skills and ability to prioritize work flow throughout the day.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written English language communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review new revision drawings to identify changes to dimensional requirements, specifications, and/or subcomponent requirements.
  • Coordinate modifications of the Bill of Materials and Methods of Manufacturing (MOMs).
  • Facilitate the ECO process to capture pertinent Engineering input.
  • Review new drawings to identify specifications and subcomponent requirements.
  • Work with Engineering to build Bill of Materials and Methods of Manufacturing in Epicor.
  • Monitor and maintain a tracking list of part numbers that do not yet have approved Methods of Manufacturing (MOMs).
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Engineering to establish priorities and completion timelines.
  • Work with Engineering teams to review and disposition non-conformances.
  • Knowledge of measurement and inspection equipment to verify non-conformances.
  • Understand customer requirements and standards to confirm or deny non-conformances.
  • Review and Update Work Instructions/Manufacturing Process Instructions.
  • Review ERP (Epicor) for inconsistencies between product types and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in maintaining the Engineering Drive and ensuring customer documentation is at the latest revision.
