About The Position

As a Manufacturing Engineering Tech 3 at MKS, you will partner with Technical Operations to support Production. In this role, you will report to the Equipment Services Manager. You Will Make an Impact By: Support the manufacturing floor. Respond for unscheduled equipment issues and perform all Preventative Maintenance requirements. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, validation and troubleshooting functions. Assist in the construction and debugging of test equipment. Performs operational test and fault isolation on test equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy equipment malfunctions and PM requirements. Uses manufacturing test, development or diagnostic equipment which may require some software skills. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and assists in the analyzing of data/records for improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • An AA degree, military technical training, equivalent vocational training, or related on-the-job experience.
  • 2 - 4+ years’ experience in a technician role, assisting with fabrication, modification, repair and/or maintenance.
  • Some skills with electronics, electro-mechanical systems, vacuum, pressure, pneumatic or hardware troubleshooting.
  • Ability to collect and analyze basic experimental data and effectively communicate results.
  • Demonstrated work experience with MS Office products.
  • Candidate must be comfortable with MS Excel, Word and Outlook at a minimum.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vacuum systems is a plus.
