What you’ll do Responsible for supporting operations as a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team Play a critical role with the support and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations Manages work by developing Scope (Work Content/Action) Use project related systems, to control / Produce deliverables based on a timeline Ensure safety in all activities of his job and the TM’s affected by his work Is responsible to the team to be the eyes and ears of the floor Communicates all actions and direction to insure buy-in from the team’s he that are affected What you’ll bring Basic Qualifications High School Diploma. At least 3-5 years’ experience in industrial fabrication, assembly, or powder coating Requires knowledge of manufacturing practices including fabrication, tooling design, weldment fixturing, equipment design, and process development Requires knowledge of engineering terminology including design specifications, BOM, equipment and component testing methods, and equipment functionality Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement Preferred Qualifications Skilled in Microsoft Office and SolidWorks Experience with steel fabrication equipment: cut-off saws, grinders, mills, lathes, and tube bending Proficient in MIG welding Excellent problem-solving skills (identification and elimination of issues at the root cause). Experience operating assembly equipment, troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components is desirable Ability to plan and manage projects from concept to completion (including manual creation and training material) Experience with paint preparation and chemical treatments Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to teach others Ability to work independently, competently and within a team Willing to learn and implement process/product improvements Ability to teach, develop, document, update and improve production processes Flexibility to work overtime Ability to work well under compressed time constraints and manage multiple projects at one time Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics Experience or familiarity with 3P, 7 Ways, Prototyping, Simulations, Kaizen and the PDCA cycle to make improvements is desirable. Requirements
