Requirements

  • Academic training in mechanical engineering or aeronautical manufacturing at college or university level (or equivalent experience).
  • A good knowledge of French is required.
  • The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a method agent or NC programmer is a strong asset.
  • Good knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Knowledge of technical terms in English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Developing manufacturing methods for P&WC engine components (turbines, compressors, combustion chambers, etc.).
  • Supporting and optimizing manufacturing methods to meet the delivery requirements of the manufacturing center.
  • Reviewing engineering design to validate feasibility from a component manufacturing point of view.
  • Defining manufacturing strategy (processes used, sequencing, etc.).
  • Ordering required tooling and collaborating with the tool design team.
  • Writing work instructions for machinists.
  • NC programming.
  • Providing technical support for production lines.
  • Participating in the purchasing of manufacturing equipment.
  • Project Management.
