About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Milton, ON facility and offers benefits from day one. The expected annual salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year. Requirements

  • Experience managing projects from design to implementation stage including hands-on testing and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Robust understanding of manufacturing, tools, safety and quality.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to teach and influence others, including both office staff and production employees, while influencing continuous improvement in the site’s manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to maintain thorough documentation of manufacturing procedures and processes.
  • Dedicated to keeping informed of the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies and methodologies.
  • Aligned with Eaton’s values, including maintaining a safety-first mindset and valuing inclusion and diversity.
  • College diploma or university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Advance Manufacturing, Automation & Controls, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in manufacturing, automation and/or IT project development.
  • Training and experience with Lean & Six Sigma tools.
  • Experience working with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Only candidates residing within an 80 km radius of Milton will be considered for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in machine controls, sensors, motors, programming, data extraction and analytics.
  • Experience in sheet metal industry (Punching, Laser cutting, forming).

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee projects aimed at developing new manufacturing processes or enhancing existing ones. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage project resources effectively.
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement optimized workflows and protocols to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
  • Engage with vendors and suppliers to evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, or machinery into the production environment.
  • Stay actively involved in industry conferences, events, and professional networks to keep up with trends and advancements in manufacturing technology. Apply industry knowledge to drive innovation and maintain competitive edge.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes and practices comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards. Promote a safe working environment and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Foster collaboration with engineering, design, and production teams to ensure seamless manufacturing processes. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
