This internship offers hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, focusing on applying technical expertise to product production. Interns will be involved in selecting, designing, or recommending tools, fixtures, and equipment. They will develop manufacturing processes and procedures to reduce problems and costs, and recommend design changes to increase quality or reduce problems and costs. The role involves solving production problems, improving process capabilities, and participating in the presentation of test results and design reviews. Interns will interact with other functional groups, vendors, or customers, and participate in the administration of technical procedures. Key activities include initiating and implementing routine engineering change authorizations, supporting capacity models and lean initiatives, and potentially participating in lean six sigma improvement teams. Collaboration with teammates in numerous global locations is also a possibility.
