Manufacturing Engineering - Development Program

Mueller Water Products•Cleveland, TN

About The Position

The Mueller Development Program (MDP) supports early-career professionals through structured development opportunities, dedicated mentorship, and organized events. Over two years, participants rotate through roles, gaining exposure intended to strengthen leadership capabilities, deepen technical expertise, and build professional confidence. Rotations last 6 to 12 months and are determined by functional area, business needs, and individual career aspirations. Participants may relocate among Mueller locations; relocation assistance is provided in accordance with company policy. Participants contribute to meaningful work from day one, collaborating with leaders to implement strategies, optimize processes, drive change, and build relationships across the organization. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be offered a full-time role within their field. The Manufacturing Engineering track provides experience across process design, productivity optimization, 3D manufacturing technology, factory-floor digitalization, project management, and new product industrialization. It also offers cross-functional exposure to continuous improvement, sustainability, supervision, supply chain, EH&S, and quality and foundry operations. Participants gain direct experience in Mueller’s foundries and exposure to Solidworks, CREO, and AutoCAD. Projects and daily work are intended to deliver business value rather than serve as proof-of-concept work.
