About The Position

This co-op position is for Winter 2027 and focuses on manufacturing engineering. The role involves working on equipment reliability and uptime improvement projects, waste reduction initiatives, root cause failure analysis, and preventive maintenance systems. The co-op student will collaborate with cross-functional teams from quality, safety, and paper making, as well as interact with vendors and operators. The position offers exposure to first quartile assets in the tissue manufacturing business and involves conducting trials for new products and efficiency improvements. The candidate will work approximately 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 4 year Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree program and have completed at least 2 years
  • Must be fluent in MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Must have a high level of professionalism and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills
  • Able to work in a highly organized manner where detail, accuracy, confidentiality, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines are critical

  • Exposure to several first Quartile Assets in the Tissue Manufacturing business
