About The Position

Lockheed Martin Orlando Operations is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager to join our Sensors Integration & Test Center / Manufacturing Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for creating and improving manufacturing strategies for complex sensor assemblies, and we play a crucial role in developing and implementing solutions for technical and organizational challenges. As a Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager, you will lead and develop a team of early and mid-career engineers to achieve production goals. You will leverage your technical skills, including experience with manufacturing processes and quality control, to identify and mitigate risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or STEM Related Discipline
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working within cross-functional groups in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative to solve complex problems in both proactive and reactive scenarios, with the ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
  • Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools, with the ability to apply these tools in a practical setting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, as well as other software tools such as project management software, CAD systems, or data analysis tools
  • Willingness to work up to 10% Overtime Annually.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Informal or formal leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience leading cross-functional teams or in a supervisory role
  • Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership competencies
  • Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, as well as common military specifications, with the ability to interpret and apply these standards and specifications in a practical setting
  • SAP and APRISO MES Experience
  • Proficiency in Windchill PLM
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
  • Knowledge of Digital Transformation and Automation Processes in a Manufacturing Assembly Environment
  • Knowledge of Statistical Quality Control Concepts (DOE, Process Repeatability, RCCA, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers to support the objectives of the Sensors Integration & Test Center
  • Deliver verbal and written project status of milestones and progress
  • Communicate project risks, solutions, and schedule impacts to stakeholders
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure the team is progressing in the right direction
  • Represent the team in programmatic reviews and status meetings
  • Assist in the development of proposals
  • Coordinate shop floor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
