About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager will lead the manufacturing engineering team, which is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of factory production equipment and manufacturing processes. This role involves leading the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, supervising manufacturing engineers, and ensuring compliance with company and government regulations. Responsibilities include oversight of the design, development, and implementation of factory production equipment and manufacturing processes, supervision of manufacturing engineers (including recruitment, selection, and training), performance assessment, assignment of engineering tasks, and ensuring compliance with company command media, engineering requirements, and government regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical or relevant discipline and 6 years of manufacturing experience or 5 years of manufacturing experience with a master’s degree.
  • Experience leading a team effort in manufacturing assembly, integration, and/or test operations within a production environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Lockheed Martin will assist candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations.
  • Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

  • LM Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification.
  • Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LM-MFC) production data systems (Winchill MPM-Link, Apriso, SAP), (LM MFC) test equipment and tooling hardware and document control.
  • Experience with design, fabrication, installation, initial calibration, prove-out and maintenance of special tools and equipment, continuous yield improvement activities, root cause and corrective action analysis, cost reduction (affordability) and post-production depot operation activities.
