About The Position

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for Manufacturing Engineering Summer Interns to join our team based in Kinston, NC. We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated intern with an industrial or engineering background to support the launch and industrialization of the new production line. This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. The intern will work alongside experienced industrial engineers to implement best practices, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements

Ability to live within driving distance to Kinston, NC for the duration of the summer internship work opportunity.
Demonstrates basic understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and design dossiers.
Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.
Works effectively with cross-functional teams, actively listens and communicates clearly in both verbal and written form.
Clearly articulates problems, solutions, and feedback while fostering an open and respectful team environment.
Candidates must be able to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship/work authorization.

Nice To Haves

School projects in related fields.
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Developing rework instructions to address non-conformities that deviate from the design dossier, coordinating with MAP and Design Office engineers as needed to support repairs.
Leading and supporting projects aimed at enhancing production productivity and overall process improvements.
Maintaining and updating processes from a technical standpoint to ensure operational efficiency.
