About The Position

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join its Industrial Engineering team in Denton, Texas. The intern will support a range of engineering projects, reports, and manufacturing activities, including time studies, sustaining projects, capital budget projects, continuous improvement, ergonomics investigations, connected manufacturing, and drone flights to support business needs. The position may require working portions of both day and evening shifts.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an Engineering program.
Completed the sophomore year of college.
Excellent technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Flexibility to work portions of day and evening shifts.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of industrial tools, hand tools, and power tools.
Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
3.0 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

Conduct time studies to support future projects.
Conduct time studies for labor balancing and equipment optimization on in-process projects.
Provide engineering support for sustaining projects related to tooling and equipment.
Provide engineering support for in-process Capital Budget projects.
Provide engineering support for continuous improvement projects.
Conduct ergonomics investigations.
Support Connected Manufacturing activities.
Conduct drone flights to support business needs.
