About The Position

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Intern for its Industrial Engineering team in Denton, Texas. The intern will support a variety of engineering projects and reports, including time studies, sustaining and capital budget projects, continuous improvement, ergonomics investigations, connected manufacturing activities, and drone flights for business needs. The position may involve working portions of both the day and evening shifts.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an engineering program.
Completed sophomore year of college.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Proven problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of industrial tools, hand tools, and power tools.
Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
Flexibility to work portions of the day and evening shift.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

Conduct time studies to support future projects.
Conduct time studies for labor balancing and equipment optimization on in-process projects.
Provide engineering support for sustaining projects related to tooling and equipment.
Provide engineering support for in-process capital budget projects.
Provide engineering support for continuous improvement projects.
Conduct ergonomics investigations.
Support connected manufacturing activities.
Conduct drone flights to support business needs.
