Manufacturing Engineer II/III/Sr - Thermal (Multiple Shifts)

Blue Origin•Space Coast, FL
•Onsite

About The Position

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its Operations team in Space Coast, Florida. The role supports manufacturing and supply chain operations and leads the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, quality control, and production and supply-chain improvement. The engineer will work cross-functionally to streamline operations, reduce costs, improve production timelines, and advance manufacturing methods in support of Blue Origin’s aerospace work. The position supports industrialization of new products in areas including solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, and structures. The engineer translates requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes and develops manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans. The role also evaluates manufacturing technologies, supports non-conformance investigations and corrective actions, and participates in process risk assessment and validation of production lines and equipment. The successful candidate will develop expertise in a specialty area such as solar arrays, integration and test, build flow and sequencing, avionics, or structures. The team is part of Lunar Mission Operations, which supports the development, assembly, testing, and preparation of the Transporter vehicle for lunar missions. Multiple positions are available. The role is based in Space Coast, Florida; relocation is available, and travel may be up to 10% for training and other support activities. The candidate must be able to work second shift and be flexible to move shifts as needed, with extended hours when required.
