About The Position
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, planning, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and product quality. This Manufacturing Engineer role plays a key part in quoting, process planning, and ensuring that all components and assemblies meet customer specifications while maintaining on-time delivery and profitability.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Experience with CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inspection methods
- Ability to estimate manufacturing time, inspection requirements, and costs
- Strong communication skills across multiple departments and with external partners
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (3+ years preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Willingness to assist on the production floor when troubleshooting processes
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Experience in estimating, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering roles
- Familiarity with aerospace or precision manufacturing environments
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate manufacturing and inspection processes for each job
- Prepare accurate quotes for components and assemblies based on customer specifications
- Interpret customer models, CATIA files, and technical drawings
- Plan production workflows to ensure first-time product conformity
- Estimate manufacturing, inspection, and outsourced processing costs
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to improve processes and efficiency
- Troubleshoot specification and production issues with customers and internal teams
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure outsourced components meet requirements
- Support production teams with process improvements and problem resolution
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
