Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability; solid understanding of geometry and trigonometry is required.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Working knowledge in computer aided design/drawing software such as SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and analytical.
  • Quick learner and self-motivated; possess ability to promptly accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Should possess a general knowledge of steel fabrication techniques and properties of materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AWWA specifications, ASTM standards and/or ASME boiler & pressure vessel code as relevant to the piping and coupling industry would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with database management would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Production Engineering: Generate project specific submittals for customer support
  • Create Bills Of Materials, including parent and child part codes
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Monitor production progress and provide necessary assistance to address any issues with the interpretation of drawings.
  • Cost Estimation: Validate the existence of equipment capabilities, material availability, and necessary skill sets to manufacture the project
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for production projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to create accurate estimates.
  • Review and adjust estimates based on project changes and updates.
