We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to assist with the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for our advanced propulsion systems. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient, high-quality production aligned with aerospace standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3 years in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the aerospace sector, with a focus on propulsion systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, CATIA), experience with JIRA and Atlassian tools, CAM software and familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100 standards, ASME drawing standards, aerospace materials, and propulsion system components.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Must be able to meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Rotating Detonation Rocket Engines (RDRE) or similar advanced propulsion technologies.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing and additive manufacturing techniques along with their application in aerospace component production.
  • Background in implementing automation systems within manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess designs for DFMA: Check CAD models and drawings for tolerancing (GD&T) and manufacturability, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards.
  • Design tooling as necessary.
  • Validate MBOM structure to ensure correct assemblies, parts, and quantities.
  • Review, approve, release and distribute technical data for manufacturing.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with design, engineering, test and analysis teams to integrate design specifications seamlessly into manufacturing workflows.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to source and qualify materials for specialized aerospace applications.
  • Provide training and support to production personnel to ensure proper execution of manufacturing processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and lead initiatives to implement best practices in manufacturing operations.
