About The Position

As a 2027 Manufacturing Engineer intern in Textron Systems’ Marine organization, you will collaborate with Engineering on production tooling and build-plan methodology, provide feedback on design criteria, and assess component and assembly manufacturability. You will help define manufacturing processes, tooling methods, discrete operations, and time standards for new parts and assemblies, from component fabrication through job-level installation, and author and maintain shop-floor process plans and work instructions. The role includes developing learning-curve and actual-hour projections for new program production, reviewing actual performance, and recommending process improvements. You will help create manufacturing bills of material (MBOMs) that translate engineering product structures into manufacturing sequences to support MRP order release, scheduling, and sourcing. You will also provide technical guidance on root-cause and corrective-action efforts related to production issues and ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations. Other duties may be assigned by management.
