About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer's responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, designing new products and processes, as well as ensuring cost-efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards. This role involves working independently with little supervision and collaborating with all plant departments to improve processes. The engineer must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Determine problem resolutions and implement improvements.
  • Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
  • Research and develop new processes, equipment, and products.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
  • Utilize lean and continuous improvement methodologies frequently.
  • Maintain research and activity documentation and prepare reports.
  • Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.
  • Resolve issues and delays in production.
  • Investigate new technologies and implement where feasible.
  • Effectively manage new and on-going projects.
  • Adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
