About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of automotive components and assemblies. This role works closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to support new product launches, improve productivity, reduce waste, and maintain high quality standards. The Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering field required.
2–5 years of manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering experience; automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience supporting production processes, process improvements, and new product launches.
Knowledge of automotive quality standards and core tools, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation, and production systems.
Proficiency in CAD software, Microsoft Office applications, and ERP/MRP systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
Six Sigma certification or related engineering certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and production methods.
Support new product launches and engineering change activities.
Analyze production processes and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
Design and improve tooling, fixtures, workstations, and production layouts.
Collaborate with quality teams to resolve product and process concerns.
Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and other automotive quality requirements.
Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and workflow improvements.
Assist with equipment selection, installation, and validation activities.
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
