About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes to support the production of high‑quality HVAC systems. This role applies advanced engineering principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, ensure product consistency, and maintain high standards of safety and quality. A key component of this role includes expert-level management of SAP manufacturing master data, including engineering Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, work centers, and production standards. The position supports cross‑functional initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and serves as a technical resource in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Requires a four-year ABET-accredited degree in engineering or an equivalent technical degree in applied sciences
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role within the HVAC or a similar industry
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken form
  • Strong decision-making and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95% of work hours

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment layouts, and production workflows to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Analyze production data and process performance to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with product design, quality, and operations teams to ensure manufacturability and alignment with production capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Support the introduction of new products and technologies into manufacturing by coordinating trials, validations, and training.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, equipment, and technologies to enhance production capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Manufacturing Engineer I and other team members.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects focused on lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all engineering activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
