Manufacturing Engineer Manager - BE-3U Engine Final Assembly

BLUE ORIGIN•Huntsville, AL
•Onsite

About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations and is based on-site in Huntsville, Alabama. The Manufacturing Engineer Manager oversees the manufacturing engineering team supporting a rocket engine assembly produced at the Huntsville site. The team translates engineering intent and drawings into operational steps and processes for safe, repeatable, high-rate production, including shop-floor work orders and process definitions. The manager leads efforts to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules, while strengthening design-to-build feedback through Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) studies. The manager works closely with peer organizations to establish team goals and career paths, training, and functional processes, and to manage roles, responsibilities, and accountability. The position coordinates with leadership and partner organizations to support engine program milestones and manufacturing operations. It requires technical expertise, people leadership, and a strong commitment to quality and safe human spaceflight.
