Manufacturing Engineer Manager - BE-3U Engine Final Assembly

Blue Origin•Huntsville, AL
•Onsite

About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer Manager will oversee the manufacturing engineering team responsible for a rocket engine assembly produced at Blue Origin’s Huntsville site. The team translates engineering intent and drawings into operational steps and processes for high-rate hardware production, including shop-floor work orders and process definitions. The role develops and deploys methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules, and leads Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design and build. The manager works with peer organizations to develop goals, career paths, training, and functional processes, and manages team members’ roles, responsibilities, and accountability. The position also coordinates with leadership and partner organizations to support engine program milestones, manufacturing improvements, equipment integration, and safe, repeatable production. The role is on-site in Huntsville, Alabama, and is part of Blue Origin Operations.
