Manufacturing Engineer II - BE-4 Final Assembly

BLUE ORIGIN•Huntsville, AL
•Onsite

About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations and supports manufacturing and supply chain across Blue Origin facilities. The Manufacturing Engineer will design and implement efficient manufacturing systems, maintain stringent quality control throughout production, and optimize supply chain logistics for Production and Operations. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve production timelines, using advanced technologies and methods to advance aerospace manufacturing. The position supports the Engines manufacturing team in Huntsville, which produces BE-4 and BE-3U engines for the New Glenn vehicle. The Huntsville Engine Factory uses machining assets and fabrication equipment to build and test engines, while working to improve cost, throughput, and cycle time. The role is based in Huntsville, Alabama. The posting lists Shift A, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.–4 p.m.; relocation is available. The selected engineer will translate engineering requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes and contribute to design for manufacturability, assembly, and test. They will create and maintain manufacturing documentation, evaluate manufacturing technologies, support non-conformance investigations and corrective actions, and participate in process risk assessments and production-line and equipment validation. Work must align with applicable quality and safety standards, including AS9100 and ISO 9001. The engineer will also apply emerging AI technologies alongside traditional manufacturing engineering tools to optimize processes, reduce cycle times, and improve first-time quality. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted into the United States as refugees or granted asylum. Background-check requirements apply as described in the posting.
