Manufacturing Engineer 2027 Summer Intern
About The Position
This is a Summer 2027 Internship position with a duration from Monday, May 17th to August 20th, 2027, located in Chaska, MN. Interns will be assigned meaningful projects that deliver value to the business and are expected to apply Lean principles and continuous improvement thinking. The goal is to provide interns with hands-on experiences that contribute to business objectives while supporting their professional development. During the internship, you will be a member of a small manufacturing engineering team working to develop new processes, improve existing processes, and optimize the manufacturing process of semiconductor capital equipment. This internship is payrolled via a payroll process provider.
Requirements
- Pursuing BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related degree
- Demonstrated “hands on” mechanical and troubleshooting ability
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship
- Ability to work in a Class I semiconductor clean room
Responsibilities
- Problem-solving efforts and coordination of quality notifications from production floor and customers
- Partnering with production and field service on assigned projects
- Documentation and release of production processes
