Summer 2027 Manufacturing Engineer Intern
About The Position
Sierra Space is seeking a Summer 2027 Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join their team. This internship offers undergraduate students the opportunity to engage with meaningful projects, develop foundational skills for a career in aerospace and defense, and receive dedicated mentorship from industry experts. Participants will work on real-world challenges aligned with their academic focus at state-of-the-art facilities. The Summer Intern Academy runs for 12 weeks, from May 24, 2027, to August 13, 2027, and is designed for students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. The role involves mastering essential business processes, strengthening technical expertise through hands-on application, participating in a comprehensive program, and engaging in cross-functional workshops and leadership sessions.
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027-June 2028.
- Passion for solving problems by leveraging data and technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Strong organization skills, detail oriented, and self-initiative.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
- To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce
