About The Position

The purpose of the internship is to gain applicable engineering career experience in a growing organization. Throughout the internship, you will gain valuable, hands-on experience in several aspects of Manufacturing Technology and Electrical Engineering. This internship is located on-site in Clare, Michigan.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• Student involvement and/or work experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Can effectively handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and superior problem-solving skills.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline at a recognized college or university.
• Two years of college experience in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering field.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be proficient with MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with programming logic, and robotics preferred.
• Experience in Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Experience in developing strong work ethic with coursework, professional networks, or internships, flexibility, and fluidity to thrive within a rapidly evolving environment, demonstrate project management capabilities, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of current engineering systems and processes to help improve the process.
• Work with, Manufacturing, Drafting, and Design teams to improve product efficiency to include production specifications, product flow, proper product assembly.
• Perform hands-on activities such as wiring, assembling, and operating complex equipment.
• Develop an understanding of the manufacturing operations and how they collaborate with other departments.
• Perform other related duties as requested.
• Deliver results with accuracy and urgency on multiple projects.
• Providing solutions and efficiencies for real world problems within the manufacturing, sports and entertainment industry
