About The Position

Sierra Space is seeking a Summer Manufacturing Engineer Intern for their Summer Intern Academy, running from May 24, 2027, to August 13, 2027. This 12-week program is for undergraduate students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. Interns will work on meaningful projects, network with industry experts, and develop skills at state-of-the-art facilities. The role involves mastering essential business processes, strengthening technical expertise through hands-on application and expert guidance, participating in a comprehensive program developed by the University Talent Acquisition team, and engaging in cross-functional workshops and leadership sessions. The goal is to contribute to building the next generation of space innovation and expanding humanity's reach beyond Earth.

Requirements

Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
Expected graduation date between December 2027-June 2028.
Passion for solving problems by leveraging data and technology.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
Strong organization skills, detail oriented, and self-initiative.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required.
To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
