About The Position

NSK in Liberty, Indiana is offering a paid college internship opportunity for the summer. This program provides students with hands-on experience in their field of study, allowing them to explore post-college career options. The internship is designed for highly motivated individuals who enjoy problem-solving, leading projects, engaging with business leaders, and suggesting process improvements.

Requirements

Students pursuing a B.S. degree in Engineering (ideally Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical).
Completed at least Freshman year of undergraduate coursework and enrolled in an Engineering major from an accredited school.
Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with different levels of associates and cultures.
Available to work full-time for 12 weeks (May through August).

Nice To Haves

GPA of at least 3.0 at an accredited college or university.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Basic understanding of production processes.
Strategic and creative thinking.
CAD experience.

Responsibilities

Develop skills through a project, with support from a manager, and present project results to executive leadership.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other interns and participate in social and community service events.
Provide engineering services for less complex technical problems and recommend actions.
Provide engineering services for more complex problems under the guidance of a higher-level Engineer.
Take an active part in the execution of product development projects.
Assist Engineers on technical service initiatives with sampling, analysis, and recommendations.
Develop and integrate product and process documentation, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Provide project status updates as required.
