About The Position

As a Pallet Repairer, you will build and repair wooden pallets using freshly cut or recycled wood to meet customer needs. This is a piece-rate position in addition to hourly pay, so earnings can increase with the number of pallets repaired. The listed starting pay is $16.00 per hour plus piece rate. The position is based at 7507 Texas Spur, Lubbock, Texas 79404, and works the first shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 48forty Solutions describes itself as the largest pallet management services company in North America, providing pallet supply, retrieval, on-site services, reverse logistics, and packaging materials. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to regularly lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 pounds.
Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive wood from the saw shop and assemble it with a nail gun along set stringers.
Stack finished products by hand for forklift operators to move to the appropriate areas.
Follow company procedures to help ensure safety for yourself and others.
Maintain high quality standards while producing a high volume of finished goods.
