Manufacturing Associate - Pallet Builder/Repair
About The Position
As a Pallet Repairer, you will build and repair wooden pallets using freshly cut or recycled wood to meet customer needs. This is a piece-rate position, so earnings increase with the number of pallets repaired. The listed hourly pay is $16.00 plus piece rate, with a stated pay range of $16.00–$20.00 per hour. The role is based at 13001 Northeast 29th Avenue, Amarillo, TX 79111, and the first shift runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The work involves receiving wood from the saw shop, assembling pieces with a nail gun along set stringers, and stacking finished pallets by hand for forklift operators. Employees are expected to follow company safety procedures and maintain quality while producing a high volume of finished goods. The environment may involve extreme weather and airborne particulates, and noise levels vary by location. Required personal protective equipment includes eye protection and safety shoes; ear protection is mandatory at several locations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to regularly lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 pounds.
- Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing.
