About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for Manufacturing Assemblers in Sandusky, MI. This is a full-time opportunity with a 4-Day Work Week and 1st & 2nd Shift options available, with overtime also being an option. As a Manufacturing Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling products and components according to blueprints, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures. This includes reading and interpreting assembly drawings, using various tools and equipment, testing and calibrating components, inspecting finished assemblies, troubleshooting and repairing products, performing changeovers, and maintaining quality and productivity standards. You will also be expected to follow safety procedures and communicate effectively with your team and supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and assembly documentation.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
  • Ability to maintain production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent reliability, dependability, and attendance.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of manufacturing, production, mechanical assembly, or industrial assembly experience.
  • Experience reading Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers.
  • Experience testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, or repairing assemblies.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection processes and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products and components according to blueprints, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment to complete product assembly.
  • Test and calibrate components and mechanisms to ensure compliance with quality standards and product specifications.
  • Inspect finished assemblies and identify products that do not meet test or tolerance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rework products as needed.
  • Perform tool, fixture, and test setup changeovers.
  • Maintain quality and productivity standards while meeting production goals.
  • Follow established safety procedures and housekeeping requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support production schedules.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
