About The Position

The Accounting Intern assists with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close functions. Working closely with the Finance team, the intern gains experience with accounting tasks including month-end close, financial reporting, general audit activities, and tax preparation. The internship program runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027, and includes meaningful projects, professional development, senior leadership Q&A, volunteer initiatives, and networking and social events.

Requirements

Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Basic understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), including intermediate Excel skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAGE products or related accounting software.

Responsibilities

Assist with research, filing, and data entry to maintain accurate and complete financial records.
Assist with month-end closing processes and ensure transactions comply with GAAP.
Prepare assigned reconciliations and reports.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
Assist with audit and tax activities.
Assist with fixed asset accounting.
Work with Inventory and Manufacturing Groups on cost accounting activities.
