About The Position

The Accounting Intern assists with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close functions. Working with other Finance team members, the intern gains experience in month-end close, financial reporting, general audit activities, and tax preparation. The summer internship program runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027, and includes meaningful projects, professional development, senior leadership Q&A, volunteer initiatives, and networking and social events.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Basic understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), including intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SAGE products or related accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with research, filing, and data entry to maintain accurate and complete financial records.
• Assist with month-end closing processes and ensure transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare assigned reconciliations and reporting.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as necessary.
• Assist with audit and tax activities.
