About The Position
The Accounting Intern assists with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end close functions. Working closely with the Finance team, the intern gains experience with accounting tasks including month-end close, financial reporting, general audit activities, and tax preparation. The summer internship runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027, and includes professional development, senior leadership Q&A, volunteer initiatives, and networking and social events.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Basic understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), including intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SAGE products or related accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Researches, files, and enters data to help maintain accurate and complete financial records.
- Assists with month-end closing processes and helps ensure transactions follow GAAP.
- Prepares assigned reconciliations and reports.
- Assists with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Assists with audit and tax activities.
