About The Position

The Manifestor keeps track of all incoming and outgoing products and assists in all related functions in record keeping requirements and inventory. This role is responsible for scanning pallets to accurately capture proper case count, weights, and dates, documenting numbers and codes per pallet, and creating labels for pallets. The Manifestor ensures all paperwork is completed in accordance with established time frames or record keeping requirements and verifies that pallets and labels are correct before being sent to the right destination. This position also participates as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness and taking responsibility to identify and resolve areas lacking cohesiveness. The Manifestor is expected to be familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems and understand their role in supporting these systems, including communicating concerns and improvement ideas. Other duties may be necessary in support of business objectives.

Requirements

• Ability to make good decisions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and leadership team.
• Must be able to work on feet for entire shift in a cold, hot, noisy environment.
• Stooping, bending, climbing, twisting, stretching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility.
• Light to moderate physical effort required.
• Walking; bending & twisting at the neck & waist; light lifting/carrying.
• Frequent sitting; standing; simple grasping; fine manipulation/feeling; reaching at shoulder level; repetitive motion of the shoulders and arms.
• Constant repetitive motion of the hands; talking; use of vision and hearing.
• Std waterproof gloves, hearing protection, chemical resistant apron & gloves, face shield, reinforced toed footwear.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in shipping and receiving.
• Experience working with large moving equipment.
• Preference for poultry or food processing organization.
• Military experience is valued.
